Vaerydian: Lord Lard's Blasters

I've got a quickie journal here today. Inspired some by Mojang's, Oxeye's, and Wolfire's 60 hour charity Mojam for http://www.humblebundle.com I worked on adding in a projectile system into my ongoing game. I also added sprite animation and sprite sheets. Since I contributed (as in made a donation) to the charity event, I figured i would use the Lord Lard sprite sheet from the open source made available after completion of the event as a testing-only character.

This video shows some of the mechanics I'm working towards (WASD+mouse) and has the character orient themselves towards the reticle. I've reduced the resolution down to 480p since 1080p was a bit too high for 32x32 sprites. I've also swapped out my cave tiles for some better looking test tiles. I currently support just two modes of fire in this test (single purple shot, and orange stream shots). All the bullets have light components attached, so it also shows off the advantages of the deferred lighting Posted Image
