Here are your Journal Land entries from the period of 1/20 - 1/25

Welcome new Journal Land author MrPhoenix!

Project Updates
  • DMD 'Ware - polyfrag updates with a video on new features working in Pathogen and also has a video gameplay demo for a mobile side project he's already pushed off to Apple for approval that involves solving math problems as fast as you can while being distracted by flashing background colors. I'd fail miserably
  • Modern Roguelike - Navall has set up his RPG4 project over on GitHub as a public repository
  • kseh's blog - kseh has an update on his RPG project, along with two new screenshots showing off seasonal changes
  • Severin's Journal - Severin recently uploaded Ruins to Jolt and has now brought it over to the Chrome Web Store as well
  • Merry Prankster Games - gdunbar has 10FF up and running on the iPad now as well, and discovered that you should disable tracing when running native on the iPad (versus your dev box on the Mac)
  • RuinValor - Birth of Talos - riuthamus shares the first version of the intro video for RuinValor
  • Archer Alec Devlog - HabitueGames has launched the Kickstarter for Archer Alec. Best of luck!

Game Dev Stuffs
  • Digivance Game Studios - Dan Mayor discusses at length what he feels, based on his experience, various roles in the game development industry bring to the project in terms of value - both intellectually and financially. For contractors, this is important to know so you can negotiate a fair price for your work!
  • The Gameconomist - Yaniv Nizan reveals that the in-app purchasing model works best when the app also runs a virtual economy
  • Gamieon's Journal - Gamieon has a nice little post mortem on his latest mobile release Hamster Chase, which was a success next to his last project and he analyzes why that is
  • The Bag of Holding - ApochPiQ realizes his workaholic attitude is having a potentially detrimental effect on himself and his team and psychoanalyzes his condition
  • Just Let It Trickle - adeyblue goes over using compiler plugins to get Visual Studio to seamlessly compile C99 code

Other Stuffs
  • D Bits Posted Image- Aldacron has grown up in coding dependent on D and wants to expand his CS skills - you can check out the three free online courses he signed up to help achieve this
