Project Updates

  • RuinValor - Birth of Talos - riuthamus shows off the modeling and rigging behind one of the characters in RuinValor, updating in the comments with some video as well.
  • Journal of Mak - Mak's project Dominion gets a warm reception from the Greenlight community. Congrats!
  • Wilhelm's Journal - Wilhelm van Huyssteen details some server upgrades to Legends of Strife as well as shows some new videos demonstrating the improvements as well as a new terrain feature: caves
  • et1337 makes games - et1337 updates on new changes to the way he is approaching his project Lemma that create some new possibilities for the game and focus him on core aspects of the gameplay
  • Archer Alec Devlog - HabitueGames has released Archer Alec for sale - congrats! He's already begun work on his next project
  • The Bag of Holding - ApochPiQ details his plans for Release 14 of the Epoch language. Elsewhere in the week in other entries he talks about his ongoing progress destroying the VM
  • OddGames development journal - O-san has a video to show off the latest models in action in Medieval Times, as well as a new grab mechanism for debugging, but also possibly for puzzle solving in the game
  • Electronic Meteor - CC Ricers updates on the progress of his 1GAM project for April

Game Dev Stuffs

  • New Old Things - Endurion adds a full-fledged co-op 2-player mode to his Commodore64 game in progress
  • EWClay's Journal - EWClay continues to talk about loading/saving game data, this time he focuses on archiving C++ objects to JSON
  • Aaru's Journal - Aaru has released the source code for the project he mentioned last year which was 2D water simulation with cellular automation
  • evolutional.co.uk - evolutional talks about what has swung him over to test-driven development and how it's changed the way he codes
  • Think Small - BSVino is still busy producing excellent YouTube videos on math concepts important for game developers. He now has seven on a variety of topics
  • Leadwerks Dev Blog - Josh Klint explains the use of the new light vector maps feature in the recent update of the Leadwerks 3 engine

Other Stuffs

  • Retro Grade - superman3275 assures everyone he's not ditching C++ for Java, but learning more about both
