I worked a bit on the RTS game, adapting XNA's VectorRumble example to work the way I want it. Now we have a blob (unanimated) that changes freely into Circle, Square and Triangle, moves around and splits. Also basic client-server system has been created.
The image may not show much, but the blob is there. Now to add ability to merge blobs and battle mechanics. And by 'now' I mean 'tomorrow'. Nighty-night.
