Unannounced SENG Game in progress

Posted by gdunbar, in Unannounced SENG Game 08 May 2013 · 318 views

Well, I'm working on Unannounced SENG Game right now. I would to announce it soon, but I'm in the thick of development.

As part of the development, I need to add some more environments to the 10FF. Here's a screenshot of a solid wooden bridge over a river.

More to come later.

Looks pretty neat =) Is the bridge modelled inside the editor or is it an imported object?

Thanks!

For your question, it's more complicated... the game engine works with tiles, so the tiles are modeled externally (I use MilkShape), but the bridge itself is assembled in the editor. Actually to be strictly accurate, the basic bridge floor tiles are simple enough that the engine can generate them automatically.

This makes the modelling a bit trickier, but does have the advantage that I can easily make the bridge as long or as wide as desired without much trouble.
