HelloBrain has an interesting concept. They basically broker contract ideas for companies. If you need, for example, somebody to write you a sound engine, you post it to their site. It then works a bit like ebay, with people bidding for the service. They apparently have a lot of contractors in Eastern Europe and Russia doing remote contracting via the service, so it might be a good way to get some work done at a bargain price.
