i actually picked up Game Coding Complete (2nd ed, foo!) and i'm ACTUALLY reading it through. jeez project management is complicated, but meh.
just got Dive Into Python and Programming in Lua in the mail today. the only two things left to get is an stl book and design patterns. i've got essential.net on my wishlist but its not really all that essential to me. we'll see how i feel when i get back into c# again.

Posted - 2/18/2007 2:42:39 PM | sorta. i lost alot of steam while my gf was off work.
i haven't done much on the game, just starting to make the game work a little less chunky. nothing big, just got it so you can slide around instead of jumping from tile to tile. also got a joystick buffer system built and ready to patch into the system. allegro only has instant button info, nothing like a dos keyboard buffer. so i made one. takes care of a few icky gripes i had with menu systems and whatnot.
in my "spare time" today i figured i'd assess my material possessions and file them all in an html somewhere. you can find it here. i'll be updating sporadically.
i'm out.
