Actually you can testdrive newspapers, books, often music.

Games aren't physical products, they're more like information. They can be easily copied. If I have a physical product, say a TV, and you come in and take it home with you, I can't enjoy it anymore. But if I have something that can be copied, like a video game, and you get a copy of it, I can still use it with no damage done.
