Hey,

in the article you mention that buying the flash card could be a good idea. Well, I looked at the lik-sang site and it seems that they even sell flash cards of 128Mb and 256Mb.
My question is, is 64Mb plenty enough or would it be wiser to choose the 128Mb?

Thanks

I've gotta The 64Mbit Flash Cart.. with it U can do a lot of cool things
Just imagine that some people use olny 256Kbyte of memory to do their demos using only MBV2 (Multi Boot) Cable.
Just imagine what U can do if U have 8Mbyte (64Mbit) of user memory:!
It's Great

Hey,
128M and 256M flash carts are nice, but you really only need a 64M cart. The largest a single GBA game can be is 8 MB (I think), but you can hold other stuff on larger carts.

This article really opened my eyes.
I now see how easy it is to develop for this widely popular system. I have had a Game Boy Advance for awhile now and now I can consider developing for it, mabey even a commercially released game.

Looks like I'm going to be picking up a Game Boy Advance soon. ;0 Right after I get a PS2 and Digital Camera. I can't wait for more; hopefully I will have one to develop on by the time the next few articles are out.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I hope the articles come on a semi-regular basis!

I am really looking forward to the tile screen modes.

I got my GBA the day after they were released, and i love it. The idea of coding games for it is a dream come true. I hope these articles continue. I can't wait for the next one.

I just wanted to say this looks like a really cool series. I've been wanting to play around with the GBA for awhile now, but finding the time to dig through the net for understandable resources can be tough.

Keep 'em coming man, I can't wait.

I can't wait for the rest of the series !
The maths for PC game programming is beyond me so I hope this will give me an opportunity to finally get to grips with a platform.

I hope this isn't one of those series of articles that mysteriously never gets finished. I have just recently(2 days ago to be exact) started messing around with GBA development and with help of the pern project I had it up and running in no time(less then a couple hours including reading) So hopefully this series continues on and helps all of us who have found the wonderful world of GBA development. Had to throw in that infomercialesgue last sentence in there, lord knows I have seen my fair share with my late night programming.

http://www.devrs.com/gba is a great resource. it takes some sifting through to find the useful stuff (which is why articles are nice), but I had a little program up and running in about an hour (but using an emulator, since I don't have a gba). if your anxious enough, try this resource to get a head start.

Do any of you know where i can find an emulator? I'm short on cash and can't really afford the flash card. Hope the series continues soon, can't wait to start! DragonSoft@hotmail.com
