I can't get DevKitAdvance .I can't get in the page.

Nicely explained, although you shouldn't write off mode 4 so quickly, it is possible to do useful things with it! You can find all the tools you need to get up and running (plus some more) at gbadev.org, plus if your getting stuck they also have a mailing list you can join.

what emulator are you guys using for this? I would like to know which one is good for WinXP?

Well, I downloaded the file, and I made the example files exactly as described. I double-click Make.bat, a very brief DOS command line window opens up so fast I can't read it, and it's over. No new files, no effect whatsover. I'm running windows xp. Whats going on!?
