| The great sales of Enter the Matrix and The Lord of the Rings Games have convinced publishers they should target more games along the same lines. Just what we need. Geeze, what will it take to make people stop buying crap. On pcgamereview.com Enter the Matrix received a 2.9/5 and The Lord of the Rings received a 2.6/5. I wish people weren't so easily sold into things because of pretty advertising or franchise names, but such is life. On PCGameReview, a rating of 3.0/5 is generally a pretty bad game, but could be worse. A rating of 2.0/5 is a horrible game and a rating of 1.0/5 is generally unheard of since it is most often reserved for games with very few reviewers when ratings are skewed by developers of the game giving false reviews. A rating of 4.0/5 is generally a pretty good game, and a rating of 4.5/5 is a well liked game. A rating of 4.6/5 is generally an instant "classic" like the Baldur's Gate series or Fallout series. Its just something to compare their ratings to. The Lord of the Rings and Enter the Matrix both scored somewhere around horrible and pretty bad. Thanks to people more than willing to feed into advertisement we will now see more of these games. Thanks! |

| haro: i agree. i don't think i have ever played a good game that was based on a movie (and movies based on games suck even harder). AP: what have you written for gamedev? quote: as opposed to movies, which only have ugly people as main characters... harrumph... |
