These are pretty much common senses. If you want to be among the professionals, you gotta dress like one.

They are common sense, yes, BUT...

They are a basic framework for building brand equity, and what's more, many of the concepts are drawn together to highlight a consistency of message, and alignment of strategies toward integrating a common brand image and identity. By image, we're looking at what people think of our product, and by identity, we really mean what WE think our product means to people.

The key is, that as independant developers, we need to look at the message that our brands convey, and by brands, we're talking: the name of the company, game, engine, tools, and even human resources. We need to bring together all of our components of the brand portfolio and ensure that the message we convey through the brand is exactly what we want, and any 'outliers' are adjusted in order to produce alignment.
