| i have been having trouble visualizing just how computers know what other computers are doing in mmos. Like, how does a player's client know what other players are doing, where they are, etc. I asked tons of people on chat and stuff like that. I mean, they were helpful, but they never really answered this question. But man, this article says it all! This is exactly what i wanted to know. |

| The answer is that they don't. They just approximate based on the last information received from the server. The client makes corrections each time it receives new information. |
