 MMX Enhanced Alpha Blending
Post Reply
The MMX alpha blending works very well except the problem that I am having is that the whole bitmap must have the same alpha value.. Changing things around a bit I got the alpha blending function working with an alpha map which is the same width and height as the bitmap but I can only do this one pixel at a time. Do you know of a way to modify the alpha equation you used in your MMX alpha blending tutorial to be able to blend each pixel by a different alpha value (by alpha map values) but still process 2 pixels at a time in 16 bit modes without MMX and 4 pixels at a time with MMX?

The MMX alpha blending tutorial was great and the code is very fast.
