OpenGL & VC++ .NET
Hi guys,
im learning OpenGL, reading Beginning OpenGL Programming.
It shows how to setup a Win32 window with OpenGL. But I was wondering could
any1 point me to some tutorials for creating a VC++ .Net window with an OpenGL
rendering context. Cos I have some experience with .Net programming but no Win32,
and would like to use some of the .Net features eg i'd like to call glIsEnabled(?) and have a .Net box pop up with the result. Googled it but couldn't see
anything.
Thanks!
Try http://nehe.gamedev.net. All the tutorials can be downloaded for basically every compiler out there. And there are those you can download for .NET.
Although, if you're trying to create an OpenGL window using the WinForms in .NET, then basically all you have to change is instead of sending the Hwnd property of the window, send the Handle property when initializing the context.

Are the WGL functions defined in the windows.h header?
Would I just create a .NET form application then use the WGL functions but
get the Window handle using getHandle() and pass it to the rendering context?
Pixel Formats would be the same then if i'm using WGL functions?
Is there any way of placing an OpenGL rendering context in a sub region of
a window so I could put buttons in the same window?
Thanks!
