After that we go into the Hydrogen Age and the Uranium Age, which naturally brings us back into the Stone Age.

Or spiritual age.

You have a pretty good point, martiandragon. But I want to make sure my players relate to the name well within my game. There is a serious outbreak, major wars, dark ages, and rebirth of technology that follow this age. I can't help but think we would use this series of terrible events to acknowledge the age before such chaos began. Calling it the computer age or information age is somewhat ignoring the huge changes that took place right after this age, because while comparing my future with our present, computers and information is about the only common flavor between them.

Then maybe "the Golden Age" would be good, since it would be when civilization had reached its highest level yet achieved before it collapsed.

Apocalyptic biological zombie warfare.. 2040 - 2050

This time period sounds intriguing. :)

Age of Empires 2

hehehe funny. :)

I would hope that the Obesity Age would be cut short from advancements in Medical Science, and that it would no longer be a problem by the time period in question. And besides, most people wouldn't be overweight by then, given that we will be busy running from our evil alien insect overlords!

Hmm, how about the Age of Isolation, or the Age of Confinement? Sounds rather post-apocalyptically melancholy in a depressing sort of way.

How about "The Adolescent Age", where the world will either grow up and become less competitive and oily, or die in a fiery automobile crash?

Roll those dice...

And I like beer now. I, too, had a non-swearing, non-drinking, non-smoking, non-screwing phase of my life. I stand by the assertion that everyone should have one. Being a nerd in high school is the highest form of asceticism. At the height of puberty, with all the biological imperatives in full swing, you take a year or so and abstain entirely from drink, smoke, sex and drugs and experience the most tumultuous time of your life almost in third-person. It's some zen shit, man, and it gives you precious perspective. But when you go to college, get drunk and wave your dick around, because there are things to be learned from interacting with the world that can't be learned from observing it. Things about yourself.

But don't forget to go to class, too.

Personally, I would call this age the Age of Warfare.

How political. *snip*

QFT.

On topic: my tally goes to the Petroleum Age. By 4000 AD, we're gonna be out of it, so it would be a good marker for an age when most everything was powered by or manufactured (in part) from petroleum.
