 Dawn Bringer 3D : Model Editor
Post Reply

Dawn Bringers newest tool : Model Editor, current features :

* Load & Save.
* Changing materials.
* Changing render & blend states.
* Light color.
* Background color.
* Adding & changing textures (states too).
* Adding & changing shaders.
* Adding effect passes.

Model editor is used to modify *.db3 files. What makes it very useful is that :

* You don't anymore have to add or change : passes, materials, textures, states, etc. in the code manually, or by going back to the real model editor (3dsmax, etc.). No need to convert the model again.
* After you have modified it just save it and it is ready to be used in application.
* Can be used to just see how the model looks like in Dawn Bringer, at the same time you can also modify light and background properties.
* and because all of that it will save a lot time when developing applications that use Dawn Bringer 3D models.

In the future I'm going to be adding features for handling model objects, like moving them, changing their effects, etc. Also I have been thinking of releasing the tool for testing.

Also the Dawn Bringer 3D has now a new domain and host. First of all I'd like to thank GameProducer.Net for hosting. Link : http://www.dawnbringer3d.com

All feedback welcome.
