Brief description:
<Tactics> is a single-player real-time strategy game with an emphasis on fast-paced action and decision-making. <Tactics> is set in a chaotic land where might and power rules with an iron fist. As the commander of the last remaining retainers of a once glorious household, you must rebuild your army and reassert the pride and honor of your family name– with force.

Featuring:
- Command soldiers and archers to defeat your enemy out on the field
- Fast-paced action and tactical decision-making where the tide of battle can turn at any moment
- Individual units act as part of customizable squadrons with unique abilities
- Terrain makes for an interactive environment
- Build up your army in a campaign

Target aim:
Shareware

Offered:
- Percentage of the games income when it is ready.
- The game is ready when it is ready attitude - creating high quality is a value in this project.
- Cross-platform game project (currently for Windows and Mac).
- Item to your portfolio.

Technology:
Cross-platform, currently for Windows and Mac. Done with completely free tools. Underlying engine is self made.

You Bring:
- Artistic talent
- Knowledge of:
a) Creating smooth pixel art and animations for sprites
and/or
b) Knowledge of digital painting for concept and other art
- Flair for style and drama in art/animations
- Passion for making games and the time to do it

Team structure:
No hierarchy here. Just the programmer, designer, and you. Open discussions where criticism is easily received and given, and your input seriously considered by all.

Programmer: Arto Ruotsalainen.
Designer: Pin Wang.

Previous Team Experience
Arto Ruotsalainen has spent the last 8 months developing a software sprite-based engine and creating the foundations of an RTS game. He is a professional programmer and project manager, and his blog contains tips & tricks useful for programmers both new and experienced: http://www.dawnbringer3d.com

Pin Wang is a recent college graduate and longtime amateur game designer. Previously, he was the founder and project lead for Neoshock Online, which developed an original IP that has attracted commercial interests. Previous members of the project include a concept artist who went on to work as a rigger on Call of Duty 4, and a director of CG who is now the art director at a premier games studio in Australia.
