The Daily GameDev.net

My apologies for the unreasonably late GDNet Daily.

The Game Developers' Choice Awards, which have continually failed to send me ballots, will probably deliver accolades to LittleBigPlanet, Left 4 Dead and Braid. I'm told that unlike the Nobel Prize, the Choice Awards do not currently come with gold (or gold-wrapped chocolate) medallions which you can use at clubs to attract members of the opposite sex. Better luck next time, award-winning creative minds.

In indie news, I've mentioned Cletus Clay in this section before, and here is some footage of the prototype. I've always liked Flack's unique graphical style, and this looks to be an excellent title. You may also be interested in Petri Purho's 4 Minutes And 33 Seconds Of Uniqueness, my posting of which makes it significantly more difficult for other players to win at. If I can't win, nobody wins.

If you're a fan of zombie smashing simulator Dead Rising, then you can look forward to Dead Rising 2, the official existence of which was documented by Capcom this morning. You'll also be excited to know that Left 4 Dead will receive a survival mode expansion along with its upcoming downloadable expansion. Far Cry 2 is adding a hardcore multiplayer mode on the PC. Finally, Sucker Punch (whom you know I love) has released new footage of inFamous, their open-world superhero title. Ninjabee's postmortem of A Kingdom for Keflings was posted on Gamasutra as well.

Before we go today, a public service announcement. If you're Mario Puzo's restless spirit, you should perhaps ask the executors of your estate for some money.
