The Wild Pockets 3D web game engine is now in open beta. Wild Pockets is an web-embedded game engine and game development platform that supports 3D graphics, physics simulation, mouse-and-keyboard input, sound, and online resource management. Its primary goal is to provide game developers with a low barrier to entry and convenient path from concept to online publication.
Anyone who is interested either in developing games or simply playing around with the engine's features can sign up for the beta at http://www.wildpockets.com.
In celebration of the new engine release, Wild Pockets and Crispy Gamer are planning a Bay Area Game Jam in the San Francisco area from April 4th through the 5th.
