 backface culling with arbitrary vector
Post New Topic  Post Reply
I want to cull backface polygons using an arbitrary vector to remove some shadow-mapping artifacts. So polygons which are "facing away" the light direction aren't drawn (ambient shadows).

Is it possible in fixed pipeline with some kind of extension, or I would have to use a shader to do that? (manual testing would kill performance)

Thanks!

Newer mind, it should be per vertex. I would be surprised, if I could use fixed pipeline for that.
