In this advanced video, we'll be taking an inside look at the thought process behind sculpting a character bust, and cover techniques and tricks to consider when starting an asset such as this from the beginning. We'll cover considerations to take when planning your high poly sculpt, working with refining the smaller details and working in multiple passes, using ZSpheres and Dynamesh, as well as cover the low poly modeling process using Modo.

 

 

Xavier Coelho-Kostolny is a self-taught 3D artist with a strong background in traditional art. Over the past few years, he has contributed work to Team Fortress 2, Heroes of Newerth, and unannounced projects by S2 Games. He is currently working at S2 Games as a 3D Character Artist.
