sorry i got it backwards, yes the order of operations is indeed backwards Posted Image
this is how matrices work in general
once you get a bit further into all this, and you are writing your own little matrix library (it's an important step to take)
then you will see why ;) not to mention the possibilities

yes, its wrong because it's been rotated
i don't know how to answer this, i just have basic knowledge, and writing my own ultra basic matrix library :P

order of operations is backwards, try translating your ship before everything else: glTranslatef(x, y, 0);

someone else need to help here, maybe i will learn something too
