Hello...I did read the one hour sindrum post well some of it...But joined because I had a QUESTION!!!
So here it goes...
I am in the learning stages of C++. I'm going to need it to make or modify scripts...
Let me give a bit of information about what I'm trying to do.
I found a mod for Wolfenstein Enemy Territory it looks like it's got good potential but seems to be
abandoned. I found the creators forum but the last post was made in 2008, I went ahead and
registered but have not had an admin approve my application it's been a month now.
So I figured I would try to make some adjustments to the main feature I like about the mod.
The mod is FalckonET the feature is the driveable tank. The refferee can add tanks to any map.
The tanks can fire there big gun ( don't know the correct name,howitszer, 88, cannon) but the problem is that the tanks that are added do no damage on any map because the map script has no clue the added tanks are present. (I think)... Note: Enemy Territory uses the Quake 3 engine
The good news is that the mod is running fine on the server I have a very good control panel on my server it lets me install as many mods as I want and change from one to another in less than 30 seconds so all modifications can be checked to make sure they are working properly.
I extrated the pak3's and been digging around in them looks like the programmer added some new scripts
Now for the QUESTION...
Can someone point me in the right direction as to how I can make the added tanks damage each other and other big targets and players. The way I'm seeing this to work is to pick a map add damage script and go from there in baby steps ... Maybe will have tank battles is Wolfenstein Enemy Territory...
