Instead of pussy footing and suggesting that you post your shader code so it can be looked over.  I should have just said that your shader code is wrong.  This way we could have avoided this big mess that is completely off-topic, I should not have posted an alternate, more complex solution that would allow you to keep the vertex count low.  We should have just stuck with.  "your shader is not written properly." Here is proof.
