Without seeing the relevant code, it's only possible to guess. It appears either your matrix multiplication is still broken or the translation matrices you create are faulty.

I didn't want to link too much code as its somewhat confusing to read, but here is a pastebin link. I think my rotation is correct, its working as glRotatef did, without the translate call. Again thanks for the help from everyone.
