Break Into The Game Industry is well worth the price. It lays down paths for every which way "into" professional game development. The only draw back, if there was one, is the discouraging remarks/comments sprinkled through out the book. Also, the author assumes the reader is female. While this is not bad per say, it would be nice if the text was non-gender oriented.
GREAT BOOK for those who don't know where to get started. I would pay double the price! I am very new to the whole game development and now have an idea where to begin after reading this book. Goes into depth about different areas of gaming, from production to development. If you are new and don't really know where you want to go...BUY THIS BOOK. Even goes into detail about job interviews, what do bring and how to dress. MUST BUY!
