You are a computer science student summoned to Firetruck Rocketship University to tutor under the esteemed Dr. Questy. However, since computers haven't been invented yet, you are told to do increasingly moronic and menial tasks.

You will do these tasks, and then report to Lord Rav in the East Castle for your diploma. You will enjoy these tasks.

RAVUYA YOU FIEND
That's hothot, ravuya.
Nice work. Dr. Questy is probably my favorite game-sprite of all time, now. Will you be publishing a strategy guide any time soon? I can't find the Claw of God.

EDIT: Nevermind, the Claw of God is mine! A winner is me. Nice ending, by the way.
You are a genius, keep up the good work!!
Thanks guys. I am working on a strategy guide and public editor.
hey hey!! questy, i'll actually get this one.
How do I not be drunk? :D to much hobo wine for me.
To be not-drunk, go to sleep (R near a bed).
Wow I must have been wired on Hobo Wine and Lord Pepper because I didn't sleep once through the entire thing :D
-pointless quests
-easy fights
-programmers art

in other words, it rocked!

nice work :)
this is realy cool. I did get stuck though, I couldnt move in any direction next to the lecture hall
Sweet game!

I noticed one bug though. When you are drunk, it seems that the collision detection along walls is screwed up. You can walk a little into the wall and get stuck.

Besides that, awesome game. I love the artwork!
Yes, drunkenness really screws up collisions. There also seems to be some kind of accuracy bug with my coordinates for collision on occasion, which I will need to patch for my next game.
I released a small patch that attempts to address the collision detection issues. I did about an hour's testing on it and it seems to be much nicer.
How do you check for the collisions? I got a sides function, but your up/down collsions seem very accurate.
I clamp the four corners of the moving sprite down to the nearest tile, then check to see if that tile is solid. If any of the four corners of the "potential move" intersect a tile, then I don't let the player move.
I really like the style. Reminds me of my good old starting games - well... did I say games ? anyway.... great job and surely a very good beginning - go on!!!
