| Freelance 2d artist looking for work (Paid)(Images) | Name: David Baumgart Website: Artscum.net Expected Compensation: Paid freelance work. Rather than an hourly rate I prefer to work out a lump estimate for a specific body of work, then if we both agree on the price, I can do the w... |

| Character: Animated or Customizable? | I have a visual design question to ask of the world: Say you were playing - or making - a cheap 2d rpg dungeon-crawling monster-bashing game. The player's character can be smoothly animated OR it could show what sort of items the player is using (ro... |

| "Political Capital" in a turn-based grand strategy game | The idea is this: You're playing a Civilization/Europa Universalis-like turn-based strategy game. To influence your country/nation/state (I'll call it "polity" from now on) you have to spend "political capital" in the form of what I'm now going... |

| Logo design feedback | For myself, I decided in a few seconds that this obviously said "Kolro". (And regardless of the reading of the letters, I think the hexagon-in-circle composition, the off-grey shades, and the tapering ovoid shapes of this design are quite lovely.... |

| 2D Sidescrolling Concept | Now I don't mean to be dismissive because I very much support exploration of new aesthetics, but your concepts look to be simple variations on use of a white paint/airbrush with the spacing setting altered and a bit of playing around with the sm... |

| Purchasing graphics? | My perspective is that of a freelance artist as well who does lots of tiles and sprites of this sort. I'm not much for business, and I've learned a lot of this by doing it in a rather ad-hoc manner for a couple years, but I'll try to explain the proc... |

| New CG art | Is the purpose of your post to get feedback/critique? If so, please say so, and perhaps start the conversation about your work by writing (specifically) about things like what new techniques you tried, and what your intent with the work was, how yo... |

| Game Concept critisism needed. | I quite like the aesthetics of the concept, makes me think right to Vic Davis' (not yet released) Solium Infernum, for that sort of Dante-Bosch, um, infernopunk? If infernopunk isn't an aesthetic genre yet, it should be. As for the gameplay: ... |

| game concepts | What sort of feedback were you looking for? To get good feedback, I think you need to give people a 'hook' to start engaging you on -- start the discussion! Describe the intentions of your work then talk about what you felt did or didn't succe... |

| Opening! Please help me. | Heh, thanks for updating the subject line. Still a bit confusing, but I appreciate the effort. As for your question: It looks like a bunch of glowy flashy intro stuff from several different sources, made with several different methods, was edite... |

| Art style opinion for upcoming mybrute style game | What Pete Michaud said. I assure you, people will be more than happy to give you a useful response if you take the time to make it convenient for them to view your artwork -- just use html img tags in your post and you should be fine. |

| Opening! Please help me. | When posting a message, please use a subject line that tells a prospective viewer something about the content of your post. Using the subject like you have creates more noise than information and reads like a bad advertisement; it's not good etiquett... |
