Checking Carry Flag [C++] How do you check if a variable has gone over its bounds? I was originally using a temp variable, that is larger than the original variable in size of bits, and then checking if it has gone over the number that is the bound of the original variable....

Map file format for 2d game How about XML? That way you dont have to create your own writer/reader plus if you need it for other stuff, such as save files or item data, its already in your system. Hope that helps!

2d Games - DirectX versus DirectDraw Your right, directdraw is depreciated. XNA might be right up your alley, it definately worth checking out. Hope that helps! EDIT: Thought it was also worth mentioning, in the near future direct2d will be another possible option.

Chat servers on the cheap side? Im a bit confused as to what he wants as well. Maybe hes saying he doesnt know how to create a chat system through PHP, or maybe he doesnt want to be bothered with reinventing the wheel so hes looking for something already created?
