Good lord 2nd time I forgot to cycle the Featured Journals after posting Weekend Reading. Getting so absent-minded these days...
UGH deleting categories one by one is a drag but I have to - it lets me batch-move all those articles contained within to the newer categories all at once. Better than moving individual articles!!!
beginning to shift around articles into their new categories. Hopefully none of you will even notice...
checked out NY Games Conference again this year last week. So many suits. Lots of business, little dev. Took away a little bit. Will have a writeup soon
just finishing up the design3 lesson for this month. 27 videos! 0_0 will be out Monday. Anyone guess the engine it'll focus on yet? Hint: free SDK recently released
FYI the XNA Workshop is still on - JWalsh will be back with more lessons once he settles in his new role at Microsoft
y'know that tech artist article has been in the works for about 2 months - glad to finally get it out!
I'm not going to be able to keep my eyes open long enough to compile Weekend Reading. First thing on my ToDo list once I wake up again though!
going to start soon reorganizing the articles into the categories listed in our latest staff journal post - all back-end stuff you (hopefully) won't notice, but will be much better moving forward
ringing up the design3 offices today to talk over Sept content... hint: what engine recently became freely available?
spending the day/weekend catching up on GDNet stuff after being without power/internet for 5 days thanks to Hurricane Irene
we've had good reception on our UDK article from Epic - talking with them right now on the next one. Focusing on more "how-to" takeaway
