hi i have wally,would craft3.3/velve hammer editor. can not find simple creait map tut to start off with ,most links dead and im getting angry as i cannot do nothing. as well as this im trying to make my game demo with this as well,so help me please ,hopeing my mod will be cool cs is old now it needs fresh mod ,but not loseing its stile. ps. doom 3 is cool but sprites suck ,u stuft up my faverit game id soft!! looks like rez evel rip off. c2873@hotmail.com

english is a quite nice langauge you know.

well there are over 50 levels availible for cs, just no servers run them. they range from bomb, hostage to assasination and escape which amazingly enough are all gameplay scenarios a part of the orginal pre valve distro.

tutorials on making a cs map? easy see the counterstrike site thye have all the entities and the simple guide on what needs to be where. actual level design is up to you. beyond the special entities you dont do anything special to make a cs map.

cs has very little style at all. valve and co. removed it all for gameplay that an 8yr old can appreciate. no moving hostages, kids running servers, removal of damn fine maps and scenarios, cxhanging of physics, changing of guns every version, randomness that makes the lotto seem possible to win, etc.

doom3 dont use sprites, it uses full 3d per pixel lit and bumpmapped models. it dont look like rez, that was a stylized wirefram shooter for dreamcast. oh you mean resident evil which used static backgrounds and polgonal characters. nope, doom3 has the same flavor as doom, just nicer looking. last i checked doom3 was not taking place in a mansion. also doom had zombies, thus its natural to have zombies it the sequal. you are not a true doom fan since you would know this simple fact.

actually i did.

think about this:
1. most non native english speakers that post here have better grammer and spelling.
2. most non native english speakers mention that they dont know english well, and would ask for [insert language here] tutorials vs any tutorials.
3. most non native english speakers tend to place the country of origin within their profile to alert others of this.
4. since this is after all an english speaking board. i dont go to russian/japanese/etc boards expecting them to understand english. no instead i use babelfish to translate since i dont know the languages. i dont expect others to deal with my ignorence of their language why should i deal with theirs of mine? in the end its an english site which requires some competency in english.

in any case sentences dont need seperate lines, and i feel it was done since he thinks its cool.

by reading some of his other posts i noticed that he has never mentioned that he is not a native english speaker. he just seems to be somewhat childish. read some of his other threads and see how he responds and requests stuff.

though after all this, i can simply say that:
i was merely pointing out that englsih is a nice langauge just like he pointed out that doom3 is cool but the sprites suck. or it looks like a resident evil rip off. i dont butcher his native language (assuming its not english), and he should at least do the same by using babelfish or learn the spelling to some common english words better.

oh so now they links are dead or dumb ? how are they dumb? too advanced for you? or too simplistic? you wont find a step by step guide to making a particular completed level. what are you expecting to find, a how to create a bank level tutorial? you should use some creative thinking and try making a map. its not diffiuclt if you spend the time and actually plan the map out well. go find some blueprints online if you cant come up with a design. at least you will have a building design to work from. tutorials are meant to teach you some concepts and show you how the tools work. its up to you to apply the knowledge.

yep, glance at a game from a few stills and you know all about the gameplay details. i have seen footage from e3 on doom3, it seems to have many of the things that made doom great minus tons of creatures at once. instead atmoshpere is used. makes sense, you since its diffiuclt to create such atmosphere with sprites and a raycast engine.

you apparently have not played cs too long since in earlier versions you the ts could move the hostages. makes sense since it added to strategy otherwise hostages are always in the same place every round. i dont play cs too much sionce there are much better games out there. between spyware, servers running only a handful of the same maps, degradtion of gameplay, cs has become quite bad and boring.

sure tons of levels which none are yours. so you make some levels and now there are tons of levels with some being yorus, yet none of yours or the tons of others will be played on servers anyway.

since you say you can spell better, it naturally equates that you misspell for effect. you asked for help and complain about doom3 and the state of cs. none of which matter in regards to your request. i could have been mean and told you to goto a counterstrike forum since thats a better place for this sort of question.

you dont have to believe them as they were not directed at you. i was merely clarifing the simple sentence i wrote so the AP could understand it.
