** rant deleted **

I am watching. And I've deleted several insulting posts, like, say, this one. However, this post does have some interesting and useful information in it, therefore, I am going to leave it here. Thank you for your input. -fel

GIVE UP!

Doesn´t any of you guys ever do anything wrong? How do you think he feels after this? He mada a "small" mistake and you are ready to kill him...aint this board for beginners too? I think MANY of you guys here owns him a apolygize (or how it is spelled =). I bet there is many poeple out there who gets afried of posting because of this witchhunt... He was wrong and admited it.... damn only if he was right and could give you the finger....

(sorry for the spelling)
I think what everyone WAS ticked about (before we migrated to physics) was that he let us go on and on long after he discovered his error.

I guess some people still don''t know the meaning of a random file....
You can create a random of length n the following way:
roll a dice, if its 1-3 note a 1
if its 4-6 note a 0
and keep appending numbers this way until you reach the desired length n...
as you can see you can even create a file with all zeros, though the possibility is very small(simple math gives you 0.5^n )

Hey,indeed if you try long enough you can even create the next generation 3d shoot em up this way!

my point is, every file could be randomly generated, so it doesn''t make sense to say : "Is this file random?" Random isn''t a state of being(as said earlier) though a lot of random files appear to have about 50% ones and the other half zeros, just because the chance is a lot bigger
Well, in case anyone''s interested, there IS yet ANOTHER way of proving that 0.9 repeating is equal to 1

Take the sum of a geometric sequence
= 0.9+0.09+0.009+0.0009 . . . to infinity

Example

Take the sum (n=1 to infinity) of
a.(r^(n-1))
let a=0.9 and r=0.1 thus the sequence certainly converges and it''s result as n runs from 1 to infinity is
found by the formula

SUM= a/(1-r)
= 0.9/(1-0.1)
= 0.9/(0.9)
= 1
Tadaaa,

Any other methods?!?

I just would like to say that I am surprised that nobody has recognized how we have been dishonored by this thread. I certainly feel utterly violated in some deep way; my trust in new ideas forever dirtied by this blatant attack on us all. That said, I would like to guide you all to a new idea. I''m thinking revenge. Maybe we could all gather together and club some baby seals in effigy, though I''m getting tired of doing that. Perhaps burning some rainforests would be better? Please respond and let me know your opinions so I can better organize our future protests against such actions.
