I''m working on a space adventure game, where you fly around space meeting aliens, doing jobs for them, receiving pay, an upgrading your ship...blowing upp lots of bad guys is a huge part too

Good job Allman looks pretty solid. Did you do that all by yourself? What programming language are you using? Are you using DirectX? If so what version? I''m just curios. When you decide to release a beta I wouldn''t mind checking it out. I understand if you don''t want to give out to much information but about how many diffrent planets, systems might their be. Also each time you start a new game will it randomize where they are? And lastly is the gameplay supposed to be more of an arcade stlye fast paced space shooter or more of an rpg where you follow somwhat of a storyline and can save your game?
thx for the comment acidkobra. I''m doing the game using opengl, not directx. well, I''m using directx for the input and sound, but not for the graphics. The game is being done using c++. and yea..i did the game by myself so far..the programming+grafx..the game is an rpg with arcade elements...You''ll be playing against a storyline..but the game is not totally rigid..that you have to do jobs in a certain order...the planets will not be randomized..but a large number of enemies will be..the arcade element are the battles..it feels something like the game Solar Winds..but quicker..o..one more point you''ll only able to save your game at certain points in the game.
The game reminds me of star con 2. It seems good in the concept but does it have more options than star con? Well I hope the game is good.
