I''m currently getting ALL of Arizona at a 30 meter resolution. Post your ideas and suggestions over on the other forum.

I want to give this thread a second go around, to see if we have any new ideas related to it.

It''s possible that the next swarm of games after the cussiet sci-fi hipe will be westerns.

Anywayz, what i would like to see is an third person schooter like max payne set in the wild west, only some more epic. Somehow maxpayne/Medal oh Honor/deus ex style , with caravans through the desert , fights with indians in canions, and all the classical western stuff , sometimes alsow teamplay etc, the bullettime would alsow be perfect. Multyplayer could be very standerd. The only thing about westerns is the lack of smg''s and heavy machine guns , and therefore i would center the sp game on pistols, al the great wetsern tales are based on pistols. In multyplay however it''s more important to have a smg , maybe double pistols, and prototypes could solve it
the deus ex ain''t good in my topic , i mean like GTA3 style missions etc , but some easyer to dy , some more teamwork and bullet time

s.p.a.w.n.
Hey Bishop_Pass, how''s the project going? have yall decided on an engine or an API yet? Is it still moving forward?

I'd like to voice my support. I am by no means a good programmer / graphic artist, but I live in Roswell, New Mexico and I'm only an hours drive from Lincoln county (home of the famous Lincoln county wars). I'd love to participate in this project, but my skills at the moment would be limited to data mining / grunt work. I have a GIGANTIC collection of data on historical guns/ weapons, and I'll be happy to put it on my computer and share... As for scenery, etc. I have a great collection of photos of sunsets, old homes (circa 1800's), old west towns, and if the need presents itself I can grab my digital camera drive out 2 miles and go take pics of tumbleweeds, dry gulches, etc... to suit the media guy's needs. Also, as for character generation. I was surfing a while back and came across this site: basically it will generate a 3d file from 2 pics of a face you send... I've tried it and the results are wonderful... It's internet based, so we'll have to get some $ together to buy "tokens", but I'd be happy to pich in some cash (I have, on any given month about $600 bucks to play with, and the faces are only around 15 dollars). You could do upwards of 100 faces or, to cut down on costs and time, you could do just 5 or 6 and make alternate textures. This will save a ton of time on char generation, since, imho face generation is the hardest part of making a human form (excluding animation).

I just found this thread, and as such this is my first post on the subject, but I'd be happy to start supplying data (and if the need be, $) as soon as you guys want. Just give me a PM or post here what you need and I'll get it to you. As for photos, make sure to include the resolution, file format, and color depth you want them in, as well as any post processing you want done to them.

Oh, as for the position I'd fill... I don't really fit into any that were stated, but I think that a dedicated researcher w/ the subject not 2 feet from his doorstep would be invaluable. If you guys don't need me in that respect I'd be happy to write stories/ backgrounds/ etc... I'm a writer by trade, and a good one at that, imho .
