If you don't have a symbol I think a WARPED brain or a cerebral cortex
with your title letters wrapped around it would be cool
Send us the link to your site when you finish

It looks too geometric to be insane... I mean, it doesnt suggest insanity at all. The Seven7 suggestion is good.
Also the guy with the valve in the eye (valve logo - Half Life) looks very very insane and disgusting.

Another idea is to maybe mess up your kerning on purpose? Just "CRAZY" is too ordered and neat. (To adjust kerning between letters, when you are using your text tool (in photoshop at least), hold down the option key while moving your left and right arrows... I don''t know what the command is for PC
Play with your transform tool, rasterize your text...
And my ultimate suggestion - Play with your layer blend modes!! You can get some really interesting effects with these (Once again, in photoshop by your layers menu... this is right beside you layers toolbox... Difference and Exclusion have some interesting effects.) A good process to go through on a layer you want to blend into your image is to change the blend mode, alter the transparency on the layer, experiment with it, then set the blend mode to normal, put it below the image you want to blend with in your layer order, and take the new top image and play with those blend modes too... (if that makes any sense... I''m kinda in a hurry
But, just a few suggestions to play with

Ask yourself: what is insanity?
Disorder? An insane person can be very much ''in order''. I think insanity is more than that.
Se7en is a very good example, just take the title: the number seven instead of a v. Very simple, but very effective.

Grafitti art has some of Eschers style in it but with a bit more attitude, might not be what your looking for but it encompasses a wide range of styles an always interesting to see what gets thrown up

Now this guy was insane Mr Salvidor Dali. You will have seen some of his artwork at one point or another, remember the dripping clock

At the least these links might give you some motivation or direction as to where you want to go

I improved 6 a little (imo) and you can see 7 at http://art.psychosanity.com/crazy7.jpg. I''m really starting to like it - It''s now my desktop (the full image has more to the top and bottom, but its more of the same so it really doesn''t make much difference to the feel of the image. Since I want to save bandwidth I cropped them to just around the text).

- Get rid of the background, too busy.
- Make the letters less aligned.
- Make each letter a different colors.
- Try a motion blur
- Add some blood dripping of from the letters.
- Make the sides of the letter sharp, like a knife.
- Stretch the corners of the letters to give them an overall disorder.
- Put in a underwater effect to make it more liquid.

The background is supposed to be busy, as I feel that it helps represent insanity (not sure how to explain why).
I like the letters being aligned and them being basically the same color because it offsets the noise found everywhere else in the image and it shows the order in the chaos.
There is already a lot of motion blur and several layers with a ripple distortion =-)
Also, the ''rain'' effect was originally red, but I like it better the way it is now as a difference filter with the ''splashes'' being blue/green.
I''ll have to mess around with your letter suggestions to see what they look like =-)

and for gods sake, go to flashkit.com and download a new font.

heheh[...]
The insanity in arial is that it is normal. Only through insanity could a suboptimal standard be chosen =-P
Have any suggestions? I don''t feel like goung through every font and redoing all the 100000 filters I''ve done on the letters to see if it looks good, but if you have some specific fonts (or styles of font etc) in mind, I might try them out =-)
