Xbox/PS2

Hey all. I was just wondering if it is possible for indie developers to make games for the PS2/XBox yet. And yes, I looked at the faq, I''m not going to get approved as a microsoft registered developer. If it is possible, is it much work (vs pc development)? I''m currently programming my 2nd game, so yes, I know how much work goes into developing a pc game. I''m planning to get an XBox in a couple months, and I was wondering if home brews are possible yet. Thanks in advance.

as far as I know you need a mod chip to play "home brew" programs on the x-box. With the mod chip though you can play unsigned programs on the x-box (like emulaters, media players etc) Just do a quick google for xbox programming or homebrew x-box or even linux on the x-box. No you don''t need linux on the xbox to program stuff for it (like the ps2 dev kit) but those might get you in the right direction.
