sprite rotation
I am looking for a way to rotate a sprite in direct draw. I could use direct 3D to rotate it but dont want to jump through all the hoops to set up direct3D and whatnot just so i can rotate a sprite. Not 3d rotation. Say i have a sprite of a tank facing one direction, I want to rotate it by x degrees to face another direction. It would also be possible to just use lots of sprite images but that would require extra video ram which i dont want to use. Any suggestions ?
If you are using DX7, then use the regular Blt command, there is a rotation angle part to the DDBLTFX struct.
