A word from the moderator
As you might already have noticed, this forum has a new moderator, namely me.
As I''m new to this I''m going to ask you to behave yourselves.
A few tips when posting:
- Think twice: is this the right forum to post in?
- Write informative subjects that are related to your problem. I would rather not see subject lines like: "I have a problem. Please help me!"
- Try to describe your problem in as much useful details as possible. Are you using OpenGL? Direct3D? What compiler are you using? etc
- Be polite. Offensive posts will be edited or deleted.
- Don''t start flame wars, they are of no good to anyone
Well, that''s it for now. You have about 18 hours before I come back and check on you.

I was wondering if this was going to happen! It''s good of you to officially reside on GameDev, I''m sure every 3d programmer here will be very grateful!
Nice one, WitchLord.

ah darn. I was gonna put my rants about life in this fourm. Well, that's not gonna happen
So did your moderationness come from the hosting thing at gamedev?
Well, I just noticed that you own this fourm now. Heh. That's pretty strange how I was joking about this happening in another thread.

If you really want to stop flame war, you should not allow
A. comarison among (between) APIs
B. any negative statements on one API.
Obviously, the above two methods are often used to intend flame war by hiding the intension. If you say "Don''t start flame wars" but allow the above two methods, then I don''t see your rule is valid.

I forgot one more thing to stop frame war:
The rule should include
"any API recommendation is not allowed,"
because it is "preach of one religion" (or a twist of such a thing) that is against other religions. API recommendation should be considered as a frame war.
