What's the equivilant of writer's block for programing?

The past week has been ''interesting'' for me,

Needless to say my 2D game engine has suffered from neglect. What I have left to do isn''t much. I have planed out my engine, I just need to code it. But I just can''t bring myself to do it. Does anybody else get like this? It seems that I distract myself on purpose. Should I ride it out, or should I buckle down?(or should I learn how to spell?) a.h{text-decoration:none;color:blue;};a.h:hover{text-decoration:underline;background:red;};

Ever notice how Evil spelled backward is Live?

Why is it called a hot water heater? Isn't it cold when it goes in the tank?

I probably would suffer under the same symptoms, except for the fact that I HAVE to get a game out by Christmas (more likely early 2001), and if I don''t, I''m gonna be in a somewhat uncomfy situation.

That''s enough motivation for me, which is why I keep on going hunting for both Isometric and Landscape engines (my game will use either one).

If you''re a coder and you get writer''s block, it''s called code block :D

Dark: heh, I was supposed to finish my game by May 1, 2k. Oh crap! I wasn't supposed to release that information. Well, I'm gonna have to kill all that reads this post to keep confidentiality. j/k

That's not the point, the point is, the deadline kept me motivated. Now I really don't have a deadline. I'm still motivated though.

Well I suppose you could kill me, nes8bit, cos i''m going to be a martyr soon anyway which of course means i gotta be dead.
And was your point really that deadlines don''t make the slightest bit of difference to you? hehe

Deadlines mean everything to *me*, but my team members didn''t give a damn. I of course, kicked all but one off.

I’d say that would be a programmer’s block. And speaking of those: I have one the size of a small mountain, no wait a minute make it the size of a big mountain, or maybe a small moon…
I haven’t coded anything useful in days.
I’d need some antimatter or maybe a Zero-Energy laser to blow this programmer’s block.

Well just had to get that out of my system,
Pascalix
Pascalix;
I have one of those right now. I havent started coding my demo for the contest , so tommorrow I am gonna do the most honorable thing any programmer with a little shread of honor do .............I''m gonna lie to the people at work and take an emergency 1.5 week off , get 3 , 24 packs of Mountain dew and sweat it out . By god , I will have that demo ready even its just a spinning cube with the world map textured on it (water , earth right )

There are only four types of men , RichMan , PoorMan , BeggarMan , Thief........
I was influenced by the Ghetto you ruined.
Isn't that a burnout?
