www.hublot.org This is the test version of our real time online game engine. All the people working on this project are professionals (see our faces at hublot.org). I lead the project just as we would do it in the industry, with quality management and project management methods, but with NO money. It took us 4 months to realise the game engine and the test game "Le Clan". You can try the game @ the adress www.hublot.org. We need comments and bug report. Thank U very much, Lexa Yo. Hey Lexa,

That''s nice, although it is rather laggy, the keyboard movement controls are hard to use with such a delay. I do like the graphics . Very good!

Yo Darthster!
Thank U for your interest, I''ll transmit the message to Brice, our graphist. He would like to produce easier to understand graphs.
Is it you that I spoke to in te game? If yes, notice that I won !)

U would be very helpful if U tell me your computer config (mac or PC, which internet connexion...).

Thank U very much,

Lexa Yo.

Lexa,

Sorry I couldn''t make it when you asked, my internet connection was down for some reason . Yes it was me, and yes you did win, possibly because it was my first time. I didn''t realise I was firing stuff, there were no visible projectiles or anything so I assumed you had to stand right next to the opponent to hit them.

The lag is much better now, it''s playable, and I see how the mouse control works. There''s an interesting lack of collision with objects in the lobbies, you can walk straight over the tables and sofas.

I have a PC, Athlon 2000+, 256Mb ram, GeForce4 Ti4800, 576Kbps ADSL BT Broadband connection.

I''m on now if you want a game .

Hello everybody!

We have had 40 clients during the night of the test and the max at a time was 10 persons playing simultaneously! That’s pretty good and it worked perfectly, we will have to test it again with more people… But there is a “but” : there is still a bug appearing occasionally, some of the connexions fail and the victims of the bug can only view what''s happening in the main room, they do not have a character.

I am very happy because you seem to appreciate the changes we have made just before the tests. The lag is better, but a lot of people didn''t understand the way you move and pass the doors. The rules, even if they are basic (hit, run, hit, run...), were not clear for everybody.

We are now working on a new version : light and easy to use. It will handle many connexions at a time. The games : foot, basket and volley. We will be able to play in real time in teams of 1 to 4 persons.

Please write to me at : hublot-contact@yahoo.fr if you want to be on our mailing list.

Special thanks to the Darthster who helped us graciously, he has been even more useful than he thinks. In two months, he will be the first to have a bonus for the sports games, this will let him see hided doors…

For the team le Hublot,

Lexa Yo.

Hi
Good job guyz !!
See u on your site...
Verry nice and that''s the first mmorpg I see using flash technology.

It is basic for now.

We are working on the lagg reduction. The problem is that it is sometimes very playable and sometimes very laggy... Our server is at home in Paris, with a standard adsl.

Do you think a professional hosting will change the hazardousness of the upload rate?

Would an udp protocol be a lot more efficient than our tcp? Would multicast work?

Thank you for having read this far,
Lexa
