I have recently become interested in programming, and I have gone so far as to teach myself how to program Direct X (2d) using Visual Basic. But What I would really like to do is sink my teeth into some 3d programming. I am not going to delude myself into thinking I can start making my own 3d engine, but using Jet 3d looks like a real possibility. Unfortunatly it remains largly undocumented. There are scraps here and there but these either don''t go into enough detail or are simply lumps of code with very little commenting. I, like many others, understand C enough to take someone elses detailed and clearly explained code and use it to make something useful. I don''t how ever have the skills to take code at face value and work it out. Surely there is code out there that explains step by step the process of programing the genesis engine. If all I could do is get a box displayed in 3d and actually understand what was going on I would be happy. Does anyone know if any such information exists?
