small texturing problem in D3D
hi,
i just started programming in directx, and this is a problem that i ran into: some textures that i try to display will show up as all white or all black, but some other textures seems to be fine. i think the textures themselves are fine, since their width and height are both power of two. the D3D commands that i''m using to display the texture are:
D3DTextr_CreateTextureFromFile( "sky.bmp");
D3DTextr_RestoreAllTextures( D3DDevice );
D3DDevice->SetRenderState( D3DRENDERSTATE_DITHERENABLE, TRUE);
D3DDevice->SetRenderState( D3DRENDERSTATE_ZENABLE , D3DZB_TRUE );
D3DDevice->SetTexture( 0, D3DTextr_GetSurface("sky.bmp") );
and i''m using D3Dvertex and drawprimitive to render the texture. can anyone tell me what i''m doing wrong? thanks!
