Remember, just my opinion... Short and to the point article on creating game art. Basically, it's nothing I already didn't know, it just put it in coherent words that serve as a permanent reminder. The only problem with it is that it should have links. At least link www.3dpalette.com (although not around at the moment) or www.gameart.com as those are 2 good sites that will provide tutorials (though they are not the only ones). Then there are other ones like http://www.designsbymark.com or http://www.screamdesign.com which have tutorials on Photoshop (unfortunately, the majority of such tutorials on programs are Photoshop based showing the near domination of Adobe). 3D Studio Max tutorials, or for that matter, any 3D modelling tutorials are hard to come by. Usually, they are just snippets here and there and I'm guessing it's due to the extreme cost of 3DSMax (well, at least I can't find any sites dedicated to it). But this problem with links is kind of redundant. You're supposed to learn for yourself, so go use that search engine. The article is a starting point. That's all. Umm... the URLs I mentioned above should work... Edited by - Jeranon on 6/29/00 6:31:13 AM

Just to add my 2 cents. I know that most people talk about using 3D Studio and stuff and for these you can get lots of nice tutorials and stuff.

BUT, lots of us out here can''t go out and spend a few hundred pounds on such packages so we use what we can. One example being Strata 3D. I think that someone should put together maybe a generic howto on creating nice images and graphics using any package like this - that would be one article I would print out anyhows.

Just a thought.
