Is transparency handled by MIPD automatically ! Is it just a matter of setting transparency in the graphics program you use to save your pngs and then once they are loaded in by the minlet it will know that the transparent part of the pngs are not to be drawn. When i did DirectX games it was a matter of selecting the colour that was not to be displayed and it would never be drawn. I''ve been googling and no decent articles have turned up that clarifiy a simple way to get this to work! I''ve read a Nokia article about ARGB but thats seems difficult (didnt really follow) Sun turned up an article about animation but no guides on transparency! Thanks Brian. I''ve read a previosu post on this site about transparency but it didnt explain how to do it! Brian

You can just set the transparent color in your PNG using PaintShop or whatever you like.

Seems to work just fine for me. When your MIDlet draws the image it will automatically handle the transparency.
Excellent!

Thats probably why there are not very many tutorials on it then!
Will go give it a shot!

Thanks
Brian
