Here we go!
As I already mentioned in Cliffskis post "Indie Game Developers" (or the like it is named) I was planning of putting up a game development website. Well, I did it today.
I am not trying to compete with any other site though. I want it just to be a place where people can post information or helpful articles for the community. Oh and a bit advertisement (just a little ).
So check it out at...hmmm...damn, I forgot how to make a link. This happens all the time to me.
I fear you have to copy and paste.
I will move it to it''s own URL as soon as enough people are participating.
HELP ME MAKE THIS SITE ROCK! Write articles, make suggestions, etc.
Cliffski mentioned in his post a mailing list for game developers would be cool. Tomorrow I check the web for free mailing list providers (or how they are called). And try to put one up. After that it''s up to you to participate, send me articles (for the mailing list this time) and sign up to get the mailing list.
Hope you guys will like this.
Write some articles! Like: "Three ways to get your game published" or "Game Agents? Are they worth it?". Maybe together with some adresses. Or technical articles? "How to Enumerate display drivers". At least let me know that you are working on an article!
my first article attempt has been emailed to you. I am thinking we need a more corporate site though, one that purports to be a normal games company website, but is in fact a hosting site /link to indie games developesr sites, although no mention of game development should be made. gamers dont care about anything but the finished game.
