anyone know of a .x viewer, that not only shows the model but textures and is able to play animated .x files. for previewing models before getting then into a game artist talking so no, i cant program my own, thats why im looking for one

The DirectX SDK has a program that views .X files with textures and animation. It''s called VIEWER, there''s an executable in the SDK.

how u make it so it plays the animating? there are no controls that i can c for playing animation

As far as i know it plays animation automaticly if it can find it, so u probably have to look for a real animated x file.
