Currently Seira Online are talking with Hollywood people about doing a halflife movie. I''m personally looking forward to it in a funny way but in another way i''m not?! I love Game Design and it loves me back. Our Goal is "Fun"!

I would like to see games influence movies, but definitely not the other way around... Games can develop on their own, but game related movies... mmm.

Unfortunately, this will cause a boom in the game industry (unfortunately?). I mean this because it is a BAD boom. People will be buying games for the wrong reasons, and we will be back with a lot of 3D FPS with a lot of violence and no story (Not that FPS aren''t good, but they could be a lot more). I guess I am rambling now

Cool! A half-life movie would be great. But nothing would compare to the feeling of being there (in the game). Knowing hollywood though, we''d get some dumb version of Gordon Freeman thats a muscle freak superhero.

Yeah, a HL movie would be great, but I''m not sure the movie can catch up with the game with its action and feeling...

The thing about the game is that you actually feel like you''re Gordon. I don''t think a movie can capture that "Hey, I''m Freeman" feeling.

I think that this could be the beginning of the end of the way we look at games. I don''t know whether or not that is a good thing though :|

All the post here tend to say what i''m thinking. But at least they choosen a game that I think would be the best one to do a movie on. I hope i gets done and is damn good. I also won''t critise it for being different to the game if it is finished, i''m in full support unless it IS ABSOLUTE CRAP (as a movie)

It probably will be, how can it live up to anyones expectations.... On another note, RED DWARF is coming out with their movie sometime.. They started work on it this year. I think it oughto be a good flick

I dont think the game it''s self would make a great film but the game universe would be pretty cool. They dont make films about one guy all alone, running around with a crowbar. They add in a chick that tags along so Freeman can have some one to say his witty one liners to, in a film, he will have one liners. And some other friend who dies, and an old guy who also dies and the ending will not be the same. Holliwood wouldn''t alow it.

As Mr Cup always says,
''I pretend to work. They pretend to pay me.''
As Mr Cup always says,''I pretend to work. They pretend to pay me.''
They MUST allow it! It just wouldn''t be the same!
