Hi, I could say that i''m intermediate in programing with c++. I''m trying to create a new simple GUI running on dos where i''m using Bitmaps for the background and for all the other stuff like themain windows... Already at that point my program is bugging. I''m using the allegro library and i was capable of showing the background image that is very nie by the way. Afterwards, when it camed to showing the first window witch is also a bitmap all my hopes came to an end. The window bitmap showed but both ( the window and the background)became verry verry verry ugly we coudln''t recognise nothing. I need help.... Where an i find it....Any advice. Thanx

why do people not learn something about the subject before replying to posts? Of course you can get more than 256 colors in DOS...ever heard of VESA? Especially with Allegro....using VESA is as easy as using mode 13h.
