Well just out of curiosity I was wondering what kind of music Game programmers like. Liek for example I like metal and general rock. So if people could post a reply stating they're favourite genre of music then that would be greatly appreciated...

I guess I'd have to say alternative, although my tastes tend to go to the harder side, like 311, Bad Religion, Foo Fighters, etc. If you REALLY want to know more, look at my bio here in the staff section.

For general listening, I enjoy progressive rock/metal, because it is very satisfying to
listen to a song as it unfolds a tale or story, with triumphant elements as well as
depressing ones, with interesting changes of
tempo, melody, etc.
When I want to get pumped up for playing
games, I enjoy KMFDM, NIN, or Front Line Assembly because the industrial beats are good and very energetic.
As for coding, I like ambient, environmental soundscapes, or dreamy techno because they
are more soothing and I can kind of go about my business and sometimes forget the music is even playing.

Well, that's me.
