Well just out of curiosity I was wondering what kind of music Game programmers like. Liek for example I like metal and general rock. So if people could post a reply stating they're favourite genre of music then that would be greatly appreciated...

For general listening, I enjoy progressive rock/metal, because it is very satisfying to
listen to a song as it unfolds a tale or story, with triumphant elements as well as
depressing ones, with interesting changes of
tempo, melody, etc.
When I want to get pumped up for playing
games, I enjoy KMFDM, NIN, or Front Line Assembly because the industrial beats are good and very energetic.
As for coding, I like ambient, environmental soundscapes, or dreamy techno because they
are more soothing and I can kind of go about my business and sometimes forget the music is even playing.

Well, that's me.
